Ở trung tâm thành phố Seattle, Washington, khu phố Pioneer Square – một trong những khu vực lâu đời nhất của thành phố, đang nổi lên như một điểm đến lý tưởng cho những ai yêu thiên nhiên và kiến trúc lịch sử. Khu vực này từng là trung tâm của ngành công nghiệp khai thác gỗ vào giữa thế kỷ 19. Khách sạn Populus Seattle được phát triển bởi công ty Urban Villages, nằm trong một tòa nhà gạch lịch sử được khôi phục, thể hiện sự kết nối hoàn hảo giữa quá khứ và hiện tại. Với 120 phòng nghỉ hạng sang, khách sạn này không chỉ mang thiên nhiên trở lại khu vực đô thị mà còn thể hiện sự tôn trọng đối với lịch sử của Pioneer Square. Ngày 19/7, Sở Xây dựng TP Đà Nẵng đã công bố thông tin về dự án Quảng trường – Bảo tàng dọc trục Trung tâm Hành chính thành phố. Dự kiến, dự án này sẽ được phê duyệt chủ trương đầu tư vào tháng 9/2025. Với tổng vốn đầu tư lên đến hơn 1.000 tỷ đồng, trong đó 136 tỷ đồng dành cho công tác bồi thường và giải phóng mặt bằng, dự án hứa hẹn sẽ mang lại một diện mạo mới cho khu vực trung tâm thành phố.

Dự án có tổng diện tích lên đến hơn 16,2ha, được phân chia thành 3 khu vực chính, bao gồm khu A, khu B và khu C. Khu A có diện tích lớn nhất với 10,69ha, nằm giữa các tuyến đường Nguyễn Chí Thanh, Lý Tự Trọng, Quang Trung và bờ tây sông Hàn. Khu B có diện tích 2,37ha, tọa lạc tại khu vực bến du thuyền cảng sông Hàn. Khu C có diện tích 3,16ha, bao gồm Bảo tàng Đà Nẵng và Thư viện Khoa học tổng hợp, được giới hạn bởi các đường Trần Phú, Quang Trung, bờ tây sông Hàn và cầu sông Hàn.

Theo kế hoạch, trong năm 2026, quy hoạch chi tiết tỷ lệ 1/500 sẽ được hoàn thành vào tháng 1. Hồ sơ dự án dự kiến được phê duyệt vào tháng 3, tiếp đó là thiết kế kỹ thuật sau thiết kế cơ sở vào tháng 5. Đến tháng 7, kết quả lựa chọn nhà thầu thi công sẽ được phê duyệt. Quảng trường sẽ là điểm nhấn trung tâm, gắn với di tích quốc gia đặc biệt Thành Điện Hải, định hướng trở thành không gian văn hóa – lịch sử tiêu biểu của thành phố.

Đây là một phần quan trọng trong kế hoạch phát triển của Đà Nẵng, nhằm tạo ra một không gian công cộng, nơi tổ chức các hoạt động văn hóa, lịch sử và xã hội cho người dân và du khách. Dự án này không chỉ góp phần làm đẹp thêm bức tranh đô thị của Đà Nẵng mà còn khẳng định vị thế của thành phố như một điểm đến văn hóa, lịch sử và du lịch quan trọng của Việt Nam.

Khi được hoàn thành, dự án này sẽ mang lại nhiều lợi ích cho thành phố, từ việc tạo ra một không gian công cộng rộng lớn, nơi tổ chức các hoạt động văn hóa, lịch sử và xã hội, đến việc góp phần thúc đẩy phát triển du lịch và kinh tế địa phương.
